Inviting Northern Nevada Nonprofit Leaders to Unlock the Power of AI at Free Lunch & Learn

RENO, Nev. — Nonprofit leaders wear a lot of hats—and CitizenWorks is helping them find new ways to lighten the load.

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening Northern Nevada's nonprofit community through education, collaboration, and connection, AHA Connects is welcoming CitizenWorks as the featured presenter for its latest Lunch & Learn: AI for Nonprofits: Using Claude to Reclaim Your Workday.

This free, hands-on workshop will help nonprofit leaders discover how artificial intelligence can save time, simplify everyday tasks, and create more room for the work that matters most: advancing their missions. Participants will explore practical ways AI tools like Claude can support everything from drafting emails and organizing information to creating content and reducing repetitive administrative tasks—all without needing a technical background.

The session will be led by Jamie Christensen, founder of CitizenWorks, whose mission is to help growing organizations confidently embrace AI by empowering the people closest to the work. After more than a decade in healthcare operations, Christensen built a citizen developer program that saved more than 3,000 hours in just six months. Today, CitizenWorks helps organizations build AI and automation skills that strengthen teams, increase capacity, and prepare workplaces for what comes next.

"Nonprofit leaders are constantly balancing limited resources with limitless passion," said Christensen. "We're excited to partner with AHA Connects to share practical AI tools that can help organizations reclaim valuable time, work smarter, and focus even more energy on serving their communities."

The Lunch & Learn is part of AHA Connects' ongoing educational programming, which brings local and regional experts together to provide nonprofit organizations with the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to grow stronger. Through workshops, trainings, and collaborative opportunities, AHA Connects continues to create spaces where nonprofit leaders can learn, connect, and move their missions forward.

The event also aligns with CitizenWorks' broader commitment to preparing Northern Nevada's workforce for the future of work. Later this year, the organization will launch The Citizen Project: 100 Conversations Shaping the Future of Work, a regional storytelling initiative bringing together leaders from business, education, nonprofits, and government to explore how AI is transforming the way our community works, learns, and grows.
